Updated: Mar 11, 2019

On February 22nd, the Arts and Wellness Center welcomed mental health health professionals from across the city for the Prolonged Exposure workshop.  Led by Chelsea Ennis M.S. of Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care Systems, participants learned about therapeutic approaches to helping clients and patients with post traumatic stress disorder. The workshop was based on the manualized treatment of PE (Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD by Foa, Hembree, and Rothbaum).

Make sure you sign up for the next Continuing Education workshop on March 22nd, 9:00 am - 12:15 pm at the Arts and Wellness Center.  Jodi Capaci, LMSW will raise awareness on compassion fatigue and burnout within the mental health community and to equip practitioners with effective tools to mitigate work-related stressors and improve their overall wellbeing.
