This garden serves as community hubs that support the BIA's efforts to improve the quality of life for all residents. We encourage all Broadmoorians to stop by and engage with this green space as an individual or group cultivated by Broadmoor resident Dr. Jelagat Cheruiyot of Tulane University and her Urban Agroecology and Sustainability in New Orleans and service learning course students and interns.

This garden produces fresh vegetables and fruit for Broadmoor Food Pantry clients and friends of this garden who help out. Watering plants, tending to garden beds, and ensuring the area is litter-free are some of the fun activities friends of this space do to keep it thriving. Providing direct access to additional fresh produce for Food Pantry clients is what makes this site incredibly special.
